Jimoh Ibrahim: President Tinubu to Sit Close to Donald Trump at 81st UNGA

Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Jimoh Ibrahim, has disclosed that President Bola Tinubu will sit “very close” to US President Donald Trump in the front row during the General Debate at the 81st United Nations General Assembly in September.​

Ibrahim, speaking after a meeting with Tinubu at the presidential villa in Abuja, declined to confirm whether the two leaders would hold a bilateral meeting but emphasised their proximity in the seating arrangement.

He said Tinubu will use the global platform to showcase the success achieved by his administration in the last three years. The President also pledged to collaborate with the UN on West Africa border policing to address cross-border security threats.

Tinubu is expected to attend side events on energy, education and hospital management.
