Galatasaray Sign Nigerian-Born Lesley Ugochukwu on Loan from Burnley

Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray have announced the signing of Nigerian-born midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu on loan from Burnley, with an option to make the move permanent.
The 22-year-old defensive midfielder joined Burnley from Chelsea last summer and made 35 league appearances for the Clarets, scoring three goals and registering two assists.
He previously played for Stade Rennes, where he made 60 appearances, and spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Southampton with 31 appearances. Ugochukwu made 15 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions. He will now look to make an impact in the Turkish Super Lig with the reigning champions.
