Social media activist Isaac Fayose has praised the Tinubu administration and the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the naira’s strength in the international market.

In a video on social media, Fayose revealed that the naira is now one of the top currencies in the international stock exchange.

According to him, this means that foreigners now have assurance of doing business in Nigeria, which will in turn further boost the country’s economy.

He said, “Do you know that the naira is now doing well in the international market? The naira is now one of the top currencies in the stock exchange. A lot of Oyinbos are trooping into our country now to invest and put their money here because our naira is so balanced.”

The common man

Fayose then revealed that the reason why the common man is yet to benefit from the good performance of the naira is that the common man is usually the last to enjoy the privilege.

“How do we make sure they get the dividends of this growth? It is by legislation, moving the minimum wage from N70,000 to about N150,000 or N200,000.

“In my establishment, I pay from N100,000 upward. I don’t pay N70,000 because it is too poor. The government is expected to push the private sector to pay more in wages. That is how this can now reach the common people.

“When they say the economy is stable, that means you can trade, and you can do business; you can buy shares and stock, and you can see that there is no fear that the money will drop or something will happen.

“We should give them a plus for that. The APC government has done very well in that area. You can’t fake these things because it involves the international market,” he said.
