Court Asked to Stop Swearing-in of NBA President-Elect Badejo-Okusanya

A group of lawyers has asked the Abuja Federal High Court to stop the swearing-in of Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, and other newly elected NBA national officers, citing allegations of irregularities in the electronic voting process.​

The plaintiffs, the Incorporated Trustees of the Association of Legislative Drafting and Advocacy Practitioners (ALDRAP), filed additional reliefs in an existing suit, seeking an interim injunction to restrain the NBA from swearing in Badejo-Okusanya or any other person as president until the suit is determined.

The plaintiffs raised concerns about voter disenfranchisement, technical failures of the e-voting platform, and non-compliance with the approved timetable. They also noted that no independent observer has released a report on the election.
