17 National Team Coaches Lose Jobs After 2026 World Cup [Full List]

At least 17 national team coaches have lost their jobs following the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Rudi Garcia the latest to depart as Belgium’s coach after a quarter-final exit to eventual champions Spain.
Didier Deschamps stepped down after 14 years as France’s coach, while other high-profile departures include Roberto Martinez (Portugal), Zlatko Dalic (Croatia), Ronald Koeman (Netherlands), Marcelo Bielsa (Uruguay), and Julian Nagelsmann (Germany).
The tournament, which saw Spain defeat Argentina 1-0 in the final, triggered a wave of managerial exits across the globe.
