Minister of Works David Umahi has said President Bola Tinubu is using road rehabilitation and construction projects under his administration to tackle insecurity in Nigeria.
Speaking at the launch of projects on the Maiduguri-Dikwa-Gamboru road, Umahi said the roads would help bring communities back together, boost economic activities, and improve military operations in the North-east.
He added that the projects would enhance access to border areas and support logistics for security forces. “When these projects are done, the people in the North-east will benefit because they connect to Chad and Cameroon. But the bigger point is that our military will have roads to fight against whatever remains of the insurgency.”
